THE TWO-STROKE JIG (OH, (IT'S A GOOD ONE)
This site is for two-stroke die-hards who believe motorcycling should be about raw thrills, not push-button traction-controlled easy riding.
Not for us the four-stroke's interminably gradual feed of power or the flat trajectory of its torque curve. Nothing beats the sharp crack of a two-stroke coming on the pipe.
No other motorcycling experience floods the senses and makes such a lasting impression as hitting the power band for the first time on a hairy two-stroke. The sudden explosive rush of power; the front end pawing skywards; the fluid effortlessness of it all - and with the bonus of a GP bike surround-soundtrack.
THE CLIMAX
Two-stroking is all about enjoying that spike of excitement - it's like the mechanical equivalent of an orgasm. Once the power band chimes in, the bike lifts up its skirts like a boat climbing up on the plane, or an aircraft launching into the sky.
