Here are beefed-up crank, gearbox and other bearings we are using to build our TSS500GP engines, and of course they can just as easily be built into RD/RZ YPVS/TZ350/Banshee-based engines.
Firstly, we have fitted uprated gearbox bearings all round.
The RH main shaft gearbox bearing is a dual row angular contact bearing; the OEM unit is P/N 93305-20502-00 (replaces 93305-20508-00) but we have fitted a stronger uprated SKF bearing with a stouter cage arrangement, below.

We have fitted a beefed-up LH main gearbox shaft bearing (longer rollers, more of them/closer closer together than stock, as shown below):

Also we have fitted a beefed-up RH driven gearbox shaft bearing (longer rollers, more of them/closer closer together than stock, as shown below):

Shift shaft bush
It would seem Yamaha made a Scroogely penny-pinching job of selecting a bush for the gear selector shaft (shift shaft) bush - the one on the gearchange side of the engine. Check this one out; a pic below of the RZ/Banshee shift shaft bearing tunnel, with the standard Yamaha shift shaft bush at left which is 15mm long. But the shift shaft bearing tunnel is 20mm deep.
So we got some 20mm long PTFE-lined bushes from SKF (the longer bush on the right) which will support the shift shaft and make the bush last longer, and ultimately deliver a longer service life before the bush gets flogged out and the oil seal starts weeping. And the beauty of course is that this is a nil-surgery mod. Just pop the Scrooge-devised shorty bearing out, and press the new full-length bearing in.
The gearbox bearings just drop straight in, they locate same as OEM.
